We would like to inform the Bankoya people across Zambia and in the diaspora that this year's Kazanga Traditional Ceremony in Kaoma may not take place on the previously announced dates of 4th to 7th July 2026.

Information reaching the Kazanga Traditional Ceremony Media Team indicates that the event may be rescheduled to new dates, which will be officially announced in due course. This is to allow for ongoing preparations at the Mangongi Royal Village and to address financial challenges currently being faced by the organizing committee.

Meanwhile, the Kazanga Makonda Traditional Ceremony in Moomba Chiefdom, Kazungula District, will proceed as scheduled from 27th to 28th June 2026.
