Archbishop Mpundu Dies

Archbishop Emeritus of Lusaka, Archbishop Telesphore George Mpundu, has died.

Archbishop Mpundu was one of Zambia’s most influential Catholic clerics and a respected national voice on governance, justice, and morality.

He served as Archbishop of Lusaka from 1996 until his retirement in 2018, earning admiration for his principled leadership and outspoken stance on national issues.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
