โœจ Something powerful happens when youโ€™re fastingโ€ฆ

During Ramadan, your body goes through incredible changes โ€” but only if you do it properly.

That means:
โœ… Eating a balanced, nourishing diet
โœ… Sleeping well
โœ… Staying active

Hereโ€™s what happens from Day 1 โ†’ Day 30:

1๏ธโƒฃ Day 1โ€“3: Your body adjusts โ€” blood sugar stabilises, digestion slows.
2๏ธโƒฃ Day 4โ€“7: Energy begins to improve as your body learns to use stored fat efficiently.
3๏ธโƒฃ Day 8โ€“10: Inflammation starts to reduce, and your immune system gets a boost.
4๏ธโƒฃ Day 11โ€“15: Improved focus & mental clarity โ€” your brain thrives on steady energy.
5๏ธโƒฃ Day 16โ€“20: Digestive system resets, liver & gut health improve.
6๏ธโƒฃ Day 21โ€“25: Hormonal balance begins to stabilise โ€” metabolism gets a gentle reset.
7๏ธโƒฃ Day 26โ€“30: Your body reaches its peak of physical benefits: energy, detox, and cellular repair.

โšก Without good food, sleep, and activity, these benefits wonโ€™t fully happen.

โฐ Fasting & tired by 10am โ€“ NOT NORMAL!

These 5 foods are making it worse:

1๏ธโƒฃ Sugary suhoors
2๏ธโƒฃ Just tea or coffee
3๏ธโƒฃ Low-protein days
4๏ธโƒฃ Ultra-processed foods
5๏ธโƒฃ Salty & fried foods

โšก Energy comes from balance, not restriction.

Ramadan + GLP-1 medications is a conversation we need to have.

If you are using medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro, fasting is not as simple as โ€œeat less = more weight loss.โ€

This is where many people get caught off guard.

GLP-1s reduce appetite.
Fasting reduces eating windows.

Together, this can increase risk of:
โ€ข muscle loss
โ€ข dehydration
โ€ข fatigue & weakness
โ€ข nutrient gaps
โ€ข unstable blood sugars

This is not bonus weight loss.

This is a time to protect your health.

If you are continuing your medication:
โœ” speak to your healthcare team
โœ” prioritise protein & hydration
โœ” donโ€™t skip suhoor
โœ” monitor dizziness & energy

If you plan to pause:
โš  appetite and food noise can return quickly
โš  old habits may resurface without structure
โš  weight regain is common without lifestyle support

Ramadan is a time for spiritual reflection โ€” not health setbacks.

Your goal is stability, nourishment, and preserving your strength.
If you want guidance on fasting safely while protecting your progressโ€ฆ

๐Ÿ’ฌ Comment FREE and Iโ€™ll send you my Ramadan meal plan to help you consume functional foods to support your natural GLP-1 function

Suhoor doesnโ€™t have to leave you hungry by 10am.

Overnight oats might feel a little clichรฉโ€ฆ but thereโ€™s a reason they show up every Ramadan ๐Ÿ‘€

Theyโ€™re one of the most practical Suhoor options when you want to stay full without feeling heavy.

โœ”๏ธ Prep ahead โ†’ one less decision at 4am

โœ”๏ธ Fresh, light & easy to eat when youโ€™re not hungry

โœ”๏ธ High fibre โ†’ steady energy through the fast

โœ”๏ธ Gentle on digestion (no bloating, no sluggishness)

โœ”๏ธ Helps keep cravings in check later

My base recipe kicks the fibre out the park with the replacement of half the oats with chia & flaxseeds. Making this perfect for diabetics too!

Exactly what Suhoor should be.
