We all know it’s important to get up and exercise consistently, but getting up in the morning can seem impossible when your bed is so cosy.
But did you know, using heat therapy (like a hot water bottle), can help! Not only does it help with the first hurdle of getting out of your comfy bed, but it can also help to ease stiffness in muscles and joints .
Some simple winter strategies include:
- Taking a warm shower before activity
- Using a heat pack on stiff joints before exercise
- Wearing layered clothing to keep joints warm
- Gradually warming up before longer walks or activity
