Many people ask me "what exactly is it that you do?"
I struggle to find the words, BUT here is is .... The unhinged version - the actual version of what I do without me trying to use trendy wellness/ healing key words š

Part massage therapist, part nervous system detective, part āwhy is your left hip carrying your childhood trauma?ā investigator.
I work with women whoāve been told āyour bloods are normalā while their body is staging a full emotional protest in the parking lot.
I blend bodywork, kinesiology, intuition, fascia release, emotional processing, and aggressive hydration reminders into sessions that somehow feel like therapy, a nap, an exorcism, and a system reboot at the same time.
One minute Iām releasing your diaphragm.
The next Iām explaining why your jaw is clenching every time you say āIām fine.ā
Women come to me for lymphatic drainage and accidentally leave questioning inherited survival patterns and booking a follow-up.
I speak fluent:

Meet Julianne, my newest team member at Balancing Her.
When Julianne first came in the first thing I noticed was how calm her presence is.
Some people just naturally have that steadiness about them, and that is exactly how you feel when you are around her.
Her energy makes you feel safe to relax and that is the whole vibe of Balancing Her - a space that feels safe for your nervous system to rest.
Julianne is my Lymphatic & Remedial Massage therapist and she actually joined me in January so I'm a bit late with this formal introduction.
However she's already gained quite the number of clients and repeat visits already without any sort of introduction.
She is available Wednesday from 8am and Saturdays until 5pm
(But I want her to book out every week so she can come and work with me more days š
)

Restore is for my chronic, dysregulated girls. The ones who are exhausted, inflamed, overwhelmed⦠and have maybe tried everything. This is nervous system work, identity release, and deep recalibration. We slow everything down so your body can actually feel safe again.
š® Body Oracle
Oracle is for the women who want insight. Emotional release. Physical shifts. The ones who can feel their body speaking and want help translating it. This is where we listen and move whatās been stored.
āļø Calibrate
And Calibrate is for the women whoāve done the shadow work⦠the mindset⦠the healing⦠but their body hasnāt caught up. Theyāre living in their head. Slightly out of their body. This brings you back in. It aligns your nervous system with the growth youāve already done.
And Iāve also brought another therapist into the space - Julianne. She focuses on lymphatic and remedial work.
So depending on what your body needs, youāll either see me for the deeper nervous system and identity work⦠or youāll work with her for hands-on lymph and structural support.

Iāve finally found a space where I belong.
Not by fitting in or following what others are doing, but by listening to my body long enough to let it lead.
I've learnt a lot from my body and the 2500+ hours of working with bodies.
This year feels like alignment, not effort.

I was crowned Queen of the Nervous System and I'm owing it.
Over the past 2 years I've been working within myself, to reach this level of regulation so this was a great compliment to receive.
For her sessions in particular, I wasn't doing any nervous system work per se, it's that she felt her guard dropping as soon as she entered my space and he system attuned to mine.
Some people come in and think they're booking a massage.
But what actually happens is their nervous system meets mineā¦
and remembers how to soften,
how to breathe again,
how to stop bracing against life for a minute.
Itās two bodies talking long before the words start.
Itās safety without explanation.
Itās regulation without effort.
Itās the kind of calm you canāt fake or force - you can only be it.
This is why my clients feel different with me.
Itās not that I do āmoreā or something "magical."
Itās that I hold differently.
And when someone is attuned to you like that,
their healing begins the moment they walk in the door.
My treatment room is my safe space, it's the place where I become the most embodied version of myself. I'm calm, I'm grounded and I'm able to hold you, all versions of you are safe to simply be.
Now don't get me wrong, there's still an over stimulated version of Sophie, but she's appearing less and less these days and I can't explain how amazing that is. Totally life changing.

The Modern Spiritual Woman
Yes, Iāve had the dark nights.
Iāve been at the bottom, lost, exhausted, unsure how to climb out.
Iāve cried, Iāve questioned, Iāve faced my shadow.
Iāve done the deep work that cracked me open.
But now that Iāve reached the other side,
I can see it didnāt have to be so heavy.
It took me longer, and it was harder than it needed to be, confused with the spiritual lingo, thinking I had wounds to heal, that I was broken.
I didnāt know the way.
But Iāve been there.
Iāve walked it.
And Iāve figured out how to make it lighter.
Now I can show you how to rise
without suffering through it the way I did.
Iām here to show women what it really looks like to be spiritual and still a modern-day woman.
I donāt use spiritual language that confuses or separates.
āNew Earthā? To me, that just means creating a life you love living.
āAscendingā? Thatās just feeling better about yourself, feeling good inside.
"Go inwards"? That's just making friends with your body.
Thereās no spiritual hierarchy.
There's no Iām better than you because Iāve done more work on myself or because Iām "more spiritual".
Because Iām not.
Iāve just remembered
and Iām here to help you remember too.
I donāt meditate for hours.
When I do, I usually fall asleep
and instead of being angry about that,
I realised that maybe rest is exactly what my body needs right now.
That is my meditation.
My meditation also happens when Iām driving, when Iām moving, when life itself becomes a rhythm.
I still feel deeply,
but I donāt stay stuck in the story.
I notice whatās there,
and I let it move through me.
No labels. No shame. Just presence.
I donāt believe healing has to be hard.
Iāve lived the hard way
and Iām here to show you the gentle way.
Healing can be grounded.
It can be light.
It can look like a woman who goes to the gym,
drives her kids to school,
builds a business,
laughs with her friends,
enjoys cocktails
loses her temper
and still feels deeply connected to her soul.
Thatās what spirituality looks like in the modern world.
And thatās what Iām here to show you.

I see this at my gym A LOT. It makes me so uncomfortable to watch, so I had to do a post about it.
Women pushing their bodies past their safety barrier.
It's not because they did gymnastics as a child!!
It's because their body doesn't know when to stop.
Bodies aren't made to stretch out that far, to keep going, there should be some resistance.
Nervous system - by going past the natural stopping barrier it's not allowing your body to feel safe - when is this going to end, where is the boundary of safety.
Emotionally - you're not listening to your body, you aren't turned into your boundaries.

Stability is.
Containment is.
Learning that strength and support can feel just as beautiful as openness.
Reconnect your mind and body
Create safety and work on those boundaries, both physically and mentally.
