✨ Junior Receptionist ✨

Are you the next face of WA Academy?

We are looking for a full-time well presented, energetic and passionate junior receptionist to join our team. While skills remain important, it’s your friendly personality, ability to multitask and dynamic attitude that will make you stand out for this role.

As you will be the first point of contact for students, enquires and clients in the busy reception area, great customer service and communication skills are essential. The prime responsibility of the role is to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk and give the best impression of the Academy. Your daily duties, with training and under supervision from our Senior Receptionist will be:
✨Answer the phone and greet students and visitors to the Academy in a professional and welcoming manner.
✨Operate the phone switchboard and direct all calls to the appropriate staff member.
✨Assist with student enquiries where appropriate.
✨Assist staff and lecturers with general administration matters and enquires.
✨Assist administration staff with office administration duties.
✨Receive enrolment and information enquiries and swiftly assist to ensure they liaise with the appropriate member of staff.
✨Process all payments for enrolment deposits, shop purchases, client payments for salon services etc.
✨Conduct and oversee sales in the student shop.
✨Take client bookings for hair services
✨Stock usage control - process used inventory through computer software program.
✨Follow up student absences where required.
✨Process mail and distribute to appropriate staff members.
✨Arrange hospitality as required for Directors.
✨Assist with daily administration tasks such as photocopying, binding, archiving, data entry, document uploads etc.

The successful candidate would ideally possess some or all of the following skills and attributes:
✨Previous exposure in the beauty or hair industry would be advantageous.
✨Exceptional customer service skills.
✨Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
✨Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
✨Proficiency in MS Office Word, Outlook and Excel.
