Turn your pain, into purpose
Turn your suffering, into strengths
Turn your confusion, into commitments
If you want a win, you have to be willing
Willing to see the light
Willing to do the work
Willing to let go of what hurt you in the first place
Whatever broke you, that sucks and I’m sorry
It can still be a win if it opens your eyes, wakes you up from unconscious operating and catapults you into a new way of being
2026 has taught me a lot, as has all the others that have come before it.
The lessons I’ve learnt, some the hard way
The experiences I’ve have had the privilege
The people who have come and gone, or still by my side
It’s all led me right here, to this moment
I sit in the space, allowing all of it to BE
I sit in the space between, the grief and the gratitude
I move toward what I desire purposefully and intentionally.
without attaching any meaning or value to what I am yet to be with/ have or achieve
I am right where I need to be, in the here and now
I move in the space between ambition and surrender.
I hope you find a similar place to sit in, and move in
I hope you get to a place, where you let whatever it is that’s constricting, closing or weighing heavy on, You.
I hope the very best for you, whatever that looks like for you now, and for your future.
Big love
Nick
When boys are little, they are hugged/ carried and loved unconditionally.
Then somewhere along the way…
It’s okay, I’ve got you - turns into
- get up, don’t be soft / weak (or worse “a girl”)
Our tears go from a concern, to an inconvenience
Our needs go from reasonable, to unnecessary
Our unconditional love, turns to what’s wrong with you? Why can’t you do this / men should be that…
When I boy comes of age, he is usually left to his own devise
Grow up, you should just know, do better, be the man
The Men that walk amongst us, are just boys in adult bodies, that have been taught that love, acceptance and kindness is for women and children
Something we should give freely, but never ask for (or need)
There is so much unlearning to be done, for us all
So much to unpack, sort through and throw away
There is a better way… and it starts with seeing Men as humans first, wounded boys (with immense shame) second
Only then can we accept the Man that stands before us
All we need is one, but having more is better…
Imagine having a group of brothers, all standing by you.
Each showing a true belief in you, and genuinely wanting the best for you.
There for you if it all goes side ways.
There to keep pushing you, holding your feet to the fire of your own ambition/ desires.
Imagine it.
You start learning about yourself, with others.
You start following through on the things you’ve been saying you would
You start actually feel seen, heard and understood
You feel less alone
You feel part of something bigger.
You start feeling confident in yourself.
You get to celebrate all the wins, with people that are actually happy for you AND proud of you (and say it)
If you do have one - send this to him - acknowledge him
If you don’t have one to send this to, or if you and your bro reckon you’d both be winning with all the above
Join a men’s group - doesn’t have to be AMP
But get yourself a brotherhood - watch your life change for the better
(Ladies… send this to your man / the men in your life)
Human will, and its capacity to survive, is actually incredible.
So many of us, are deep in it
Exhausted
Drowning
Surviving
And still treading along
Staying afloat.
Times are tough, the human spirit seems likes its barely holding on
There is a individual/ unique suffering happening in every persons life
It’s not special… it’s unique to you… but not special
We all feel it
It is a collective suffering
No one more so, no one less than
Soul loss seems evident in the eyes of many walking the streets
Only to be replaced with fear, anger, loneliness, and fatigue
We are all drowning in the water of suffering
We either commit to staying in it and drown
Or we individually, and collectively take responsibility of what was, and what is, and move toward what’s next
I for one, have committed to not staying in it, I’ve committed to recovering, keeping dry, and helping others do the same.
Being the man, the younger version of you would dream of growing into ❤️
I’ve spent a lot of time, reconnecting in with my inner child, at first he wasn’t sure of me - I had shunned him for so long
But through consistency, and kindness- we became close once more
I love him, speak to him, sit with him and protect him, as I would my own son
Becoming a father has enabled me to connect to parts of me I never knew I needed
I never knew what was there
Cheers to fatherhood, to our children
AND to our inner child
