One of the biggest things I want women to know about hair loss?

Hair loss isn’t one thing.

Maybe you’re suddenly shedding like crazy. Maybe your ponytail has slowly gotten smaller. Maybe your part looks wider, you’re seeing more scalp around your crown, or your hair just doesn’t feel like it used to.

Those can all mean very different things.

And that’s exactly why I don’t believe in jumping straight to “you need extensions” or “you need a hair system.”

Sometimes extensions are perfect. Sometimes we need more coverage with mesh or meshless integration. Sometimes a cranial prosthetic makes the most sense. And sometimes my recommendation is to see your doctor or dermatologist before we do anything at all.

You don’t need to walk into my studio already knowing what service to book.

Come to me with the problem. We’ll figure out the options together.

Hair loss can feel really personal. And finding someone you trust with it can feel even harder.

That’s a big part of why I created Chelsea Extension Co. the way I did.

I work one-on-one from my private studio in Surrey, helping women who want a little more fullness or length, women noticing their hair getting thinner, and women dealing with more significant hair loss.

Whether that means a row of extensions, mesh integration or a full cranial prosthesis, you don’t need to know what you need before you come in. That’s my job.

You can ask me all the questions. You can tell me what’s bothering you. You can show me the areas you’ve been trying to hide. There’s no judgment and no pressure to commit to anything.

Just you, me, and a plan that actually makes sense for your hair.

And most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable here. I know how vulnerable hair can be, and I don’t take it lightly when someone trusts me with theirs.

If you’ve been thinking about doing something with your hair but have no idea where to start, DM me “START.” We’ll figure it out together.

What I wish every woman knew before she sits in my chair:

You don’t need to know which service you need. That’s my job.

Your hair loss doesn’t have to feel “bad enough” before you’re allowed to do something about it. If it’s bothering you, that’s enough.

And your privacy matters here. No photos. No names. Nothing shared without your permission.

This is a quiet, private studio — not a busy salon. Answer emails. Bring your laptop. Sit in silence. Chat my ear off. Whatever makes you comfortable.

You don’t have to explain or apologize for how you feel about your hair.

You just have to show up.

My job is to listen, figure out what makes sense for your hair, and give you a space where you feel comfortable being honest about something that can feel incredibly personal.

That’s not an extra part of the experience.

That is the experience.

DM me HAIR if you’ve been thinking about doing something for yourself but haven’t known where to start.

If your extensions hurt, they were installed wrong.
Pain is not part of the process. Aching, pulling, headaches — that’s not “getting used to them.” That’s too much weight on fine hair, or placement your density can’t hold.
Fine hair needs a lighter hand, not a heavier weft. And sometimes the honest answer is a different method entirely — a specialist who tells you that is the one you keep.
Follow for honest hair-loss and fine-hair education. No sales pitch, ever.

Every summer I start getting the same messages.

“My hair was so smooth yesterday.”
“Why is it suddenly bigger?”
“Why are the ends feeling fluffy?”

And honestly? It’s usually not the extensions.

Humidity doesn’t just affect your natural hair. It affects the way your natural hair and extension hair behave together. If your hair naturally wants to wave, frizz, expand, or curl, summer has a way of reminding you.

I always laugh because we spend months wishing for sunshine and then the second it arrives we’re all standing in front of the mirror wondering what happened.

The good news is that a little extra moisture, heat protection, and styling support goes a long way.

Summer hair is just different hair.

Anyone else fighting the humidity this week, or is it just me?

Chlorine is going to wreck your extensions.

Hear me out… this doesn’t mean you have to avoid the pool this summer. It just means you have to take a few extra precautions to make sure your extensions look their best and last long past summer.

Before you swim, wet your hair with clean water and braid it. Hair acts like a sponge, so if it’s already saturated with fresh water, it won’t absorb as much chlorine.

After swimming, rinse your hair as soon as possible. Don’t let chlorine sit in your extensions all day.

And please don’t throw your hair into a messy wet bun and forget about it. That’s a fast track to tangles, matting, and dry extension hair.

A little extra care now can save you a lot of frustration (and money) later.

You’ve heard me talk about how important aftercare is especially in the summer. Here is what actually happens when sunscreen hits your bright blonde extensions. They go salmon orange coloured and splotchy. This happens because of the ingredient azobenzene. It reacts and discolours the hair. The best course of action is to never let wet skin or wet hair touch after sunscreen is applied. Keep your hair up in a braid or bun. Thoroughly wash your skin first, then let your hair down to wash it. Apply leave on conditioner as well to act as a barrier. If all else fails call me and I can fix it! If you’re curious about hair extensions book your free consultation today.

One of the biggest misconceptions about extensions is that matting just “happens.”

In reality, extensions rarely start matting for no reason.

Most of the time, it’s a combination of a few small habits that build up over time. Going to bed with damp hair, product collecting around the attachment points, skipping your leave-in, or not brushing properly can all create the perfect conditions for tangles and matting.

The good news? It’s usually preventable.

A big part of my job isn’t just installing extensions. It’s teaching you how to care for them so they stay comfortable, blend beautifully, and last as long as possible.

If your extensions are constantly tangling, matting, or feeling difficult to manage, it might be worth looking at the install, your home care routine, or both.

Healthy extensions should feel easy.

Which of these mistakes surprised you the most?
