It's weird putting yourself out there.

BUT this IS the world we live in.

I am over here, working out me.

I have always been great at being vulnerable but when you're in business there is an element of holding back - and from now on I am not doing it! I am bored of being worried about what someone may or may not think, or being so conservative that I am not being truly authentic.

I'm not here showing off, I am here being human, enjoying my life with my family whilst advocating and sharing the nitty gritty...

OH and actually running a business - which looks different these days BUT is still a valid business - and guess what I get to help people, mainly women (hey to my guy customers! always a space for you) find their best skincare yet, their best makeup yet and for quite a few now - helping them on their journey in this new way of working by joining my team.

So if any of this sounds like its for you, then comment 'HI' and I will send you a DM to see how I can help you ❤️

Everything at Tropic is made with love!!

Seriously, it’s real people behind the products and watch to find out WHY I have so much passion about it 🤩

It’s comfortable over here though, isn’t it?

Wrapped in fear because it’s easier.
Slower.
Safer.

And I can say that because lately, I’ve felt it too.

That little voice making me question things.
Second-guess myself.
Wonder whether to push forward or stay exactly where I am because, well… at least I know what happens here.

But taking some time to actually stop and reflect has made me realise something.

Fear has a really clever way of disguising itself as being sensible.

Maybe now isn’t the right time.
Maybe I need to think about it a bit longer.
Maybe I’m not ready.

When actually, sometimes I’m just scared.

And that’s okay.

Because I don’t need to have everything figured out before I move forward.

I just need to make sure fear isn’t the thing making my decisions for me.

So right now I’m giving myself the space to reflect, work out what I actually want… and then trust myself enough to take the next step.

Even if it feels scary.

Feel the fear and do it anyway. 🤍

It’s not something I have ever taken time to consider really…how much capacity we have.

My frustration levels have been at an all time high recently, and then the pressure I put on myself is higher.

Because, before becoming an ambassador to THE best brand, I was already an entrepreneur. I used to feel ick at that word but it’s true, a self employed woman, smashing life and goals without a care in the world.

When your priorities change your 24hours change too, but with that comes a level of unseen resistance, and how you once did things isn’t possible as it once was.

When I say anything like this, it doesn’t ever take away that my children are my first and highest priority ever - but inside somewhere I am still me, Jess, the one who loves creating hair ups, who adores helping people with their skincare, obsessed with making life easier one makeup product at a time…

But my capacity is different now. Between kids, health and everything else I can’t do what I used too, and that’s ok. It’s ok that our friends are smashing their goals > because in this community we cheer even louder for them because they bloody deserve it. It’s ok if you feel like you’re falling behind, because you aren’t, you are just taking time to reset too 🤩

Why am I sharing it? Because maybe you feel stuck and frustrated too, maybe you feel like you are a shell of who you once were before medical appointments, broken sleep and a house of carnage.

We are also not asking for sympathy, that’s not what this is > it’s a realisation that you aren’t alone, WE aren’t alone, we aren’t failing, our capacity is just lower than it used to be - and that’s ok 🙏🏻

This grin was pictured at Tropic HQ in 2023. I mean my face hurt all day from the happiness shining through - an experience that you cannot ever articulate! I was joined my team member Kam who achieved the trip when she first joined the business.

I am super excited for my next trip to the brand new Global HQ!

Fancy seeing it for yourself?? I can show you how

Essentials for a few nights away! When my little girl suggests that a Tropic toothpaste would finish the collection she isn't wrong! For now, gentle cleaning, hydrating and protection is perfect and enough for her young skin

For the past 17 years life has never been the same. We were a decade apart but I still have the best memories of my big brother 🫶🏻
The limited amount of pics together but I do love this one. I so wish you had more time earthside for your family, and so you could meet all of your neices and nephews too 🩷

She wanted to quit.

When she never felt like she quite fitted in.

When she doubted herself, her choices, and the mother she was, the wife, the friend 🫶🏻

When parenthood felt heavier than she ever expected it to.

When she wondered if she was getting any of it right.

When her mental health told her she wasn’t capable (it lied)

When building a business alongside raising her children felt impossible.

When grief took people she thought she’d have forever, 17 years today bro, I wish I could have a chat with you 🥺

When life didn’t follow the path she’d imagined.

When her child’s needs meant plans could change in an instant.

When her own health changed and the way she’d always worked was no longer possible.

She adapted.

She diversified.

She found another way.

She wanted to quit more times than she’ll probably ever admit.

But she didn’t.

Because amongst all the doubt, grief, appointments, school runs, work, worry, and wondering if she was doing enough…

there were two little people watching her.

And maybe one day they’ll understand, I really hope they do,

Their mum didn’t have it all figured out.

She wasn’t fearless.

She wasn’t always strong.

She just kept getting back up.

For them.

And eventually…

for herself too. 🤍

It’s so very easy to lose yourself isn’t it.
Why on earth does it take someone else, often, a village to remind you on who you are? 🫨

Even then we tend not to believe them, sometimes we just have to take a step back and remember all the little things, because really they’re the most important things aren’t they. The smallest of things are the core memories, the most important thing in life 🩷

Your daily life isn’t unimportant, and neither my darling, are you 🫶🏻
