Dr. Benjamin Stong is the only plastic surgeon in Atlanta that offers the NeoGraft system, a revolutionary and FDA approved technology that harvests and implants your own hair follicles for optimal restoration. We serve both men and women with various degrees of hair loss in our state-of-the-art fa
NeoGraft FUE Hair Transplantation is an excellent option for patients who want to restore thinning areas without a linear scar and with relatively minimal downtime. FUE stands for follicular unit extraction, a technique in which individual hair follicles are carefully removed from the donor area, along the back of the scalp.
These follicles are selected because they are generally more resistant to DHT-related thinning and follicle miniaturization. The grafts can then be transplanted into areas of concern, including the hairline, frontal scalp, temples, or crown.
A successful hair transplant requires much more than filling an empty space. Dr. Stong carefully considers:
• The shape and height of the hairline
• The natural angle and direction of growth
• Appropriate density for each area
• Gradual blending from the hairline toward the crown
• Preservation of the donor area to avoid an over-harvested appearance
Every step of the procedure is designed to protect the health of the follicles. The grafts are preserved in specialized oxygenated solutions while they are prepared for implantation, and PRP is injected into the treatment area to help support the scalp environment.
Our goal is to give each graft the best possible opportunity to survive, grow, and contribute to a natural-looking result.
The initial healing period typically involves approximately two weeks of social downtime. Some temporary shedding is expected before new growth begins. Results develop gradually, with noticeable improvement over several months and continued maturation for approximately 12 to 18 months.

“Good hair genetics”… or a carefully planned hair restoration?
This 39 year old patient is shown one year after a NeoGraft® FUE hair transplant using 1,500 grafts to restore his frontal-temporal hairline.
Dr. Stong carefully designed the new hairline to restore the patient’s temporal recession and create a gradual transition in density, direction, and placement. The result is a stronger, fuller hairline that still looks completely natural and age-appropriate.
During an FUE hair transplant, individual follicular units are extracted from the donor area—the back of the scalp—without creating a linear scar. These follicles are more resistant to DHT-related miniaturization and can continue producing hair after being transplanted into areas of thinning or recession.
Every graft purchased is implanted. Throughout the procedure, the follicles are carefully preserved using specialized solutions and oxygenated treatments while they are prepared for placement. PRP is also injected into the treatment area to support the scalp environment and the newly transplanted follicles.
Hair restoration is a gradual process. Initial healing typically takes two weeks, while new growth begins developing over the following months. Density and maturity continue improving for 12–18 months.
At one year post-op, this patient has achieved meaningful restoration through the frontal and temporal hairline—with no obvious signs of a transplant.

PRP hair restoration works best when it is treated as a plan — not a one-time treatment.
At Kalos, the first year of PRP + ACell hair restoration is designed to support the follicle response over time. Because hair grows in cycles, consistency matters. The goal is not only to stimulate the scalp once, but to give weakened or thinning follicles repeated support during the early phase of treatment.
Here’s what the first year typically looks like:
Month 1: First PRP + ACell treatment
Month 2: Second treatment to continue follicle stimulation
Month 3: Third treatment to complete the initial series
Month 6: Booster treatment to support continued progress
Month 12: Follow-up evaluation to assess response and long-term plan
From there, most patients continue with maintenance treatments 1–2 times per year depending on their response, hair loss pattern, and overall goals.
PRP is best suited for patients who still have active follicles present. It can be a powerful nonsurgical option for thinning hair, early hair loss, miniaturized follicles, or patients looking to strengthen their existing hair before hair loss becomes more advanced.
The first year is about creating momentum, supporting follicle health, and determining how your hair responds over time.
PRP works best with a plan.

A successful hair transplant is about more than moving hair from one area to another.
At Kalos Hair Transplant, every step is designed to support graft health, graft survival, and natural-looking growth.
During our hair transplant procedures, we inject PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, to help support the healing environment around newly transplanted follicles. PRP is derived from your own blood and is rich in platelets and natural growth factors that play an important role in tissue repair, blood supply, and recovery.
We also take additional steps to protect every graft throughout the process, including careful extraction, meticulous graft handling, and advanced graft preservation with ATP + HypoThermosol.

During FUE hair transplantation, individual follicular units are carefully extracted one by one, preserved, and implanted into the areas that need restoration.
FUE is considered the gold standard of hair restoration because it is scarless, involves minimal downtime, and delivers natural, lasting results.
At Kalos, grafts are soaked in ATP and HypoThermosol to help protect the follicles while they are outside the body, supporting hydration, cellular energy, and graft survival before implantation.
Every graft is handled with precision so the follicles you pay for are given the best chance to survive, thrive, and grow.

PRP for hair restoration!
Hair loss is often a gradual process caused by follicle miniaturization, where the follicles slowly become weaker, thinner, and produce less healthy hair over time. PRP works by using your body’s own concentrated growth factors to stimulate the scalp, support healthier follicle function, and improve the environment for stronger hair growth.
PRP can help reduce shedding, support dormant follicles, improve scalp health, and slow progression when hair loss is addressed early. It’s commonly used as both a preventative treatment and as part of a long-term hair restoration plan.
At Kalos Hair Transplant, all treatments are performed by Dr. Stong, a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon specializing in advanced hair restoration and natural-looking results.

It starts with the plan.
Before a single graft is placed, everything is mapped with intention—hairline, crown, and donor area. This is what separates natural, undetectable results from transplants that look obvious.
At Kalos Hair Transplant, we use NeoGraft FUE, one of the most advanced techniques in hair restoration. FUE (follicular unit extraction) allows us to harvest individual grafts with precision—no linear scar, minimal downtime, and a faster, more comfortable recovery.
NeoGraft enhances that process even further. It uses pneumatic technology to gently extract and implant grafts, helping preserve graft integrity and survival. That means better growth, better density, and more natural results long-term.
But the technology is only part of it.
Every case is custom designed. From the angle and direction of each graft to how density is distributed across the hairline and crown, the goal is consistency with how hair naturally grows. Just as important, we carefully preserve the donor area so results remain strong for years to come.
2000 grafts isn’t just a number—it’s a strategy.
Advanced technique. Thoughtful design. Results that don’t look like a transplant.
