Traveling to Iceland has been fun! 🩵 🧊

We’re off to Iceland this month! It’s a Glacier Ice facial treatment! The highly pure and nutrient-rich waters in the North Atlantic and Greenland Sea are filled with seaweed, sea kelp, and sea algae that are superfoods for the skin! Let’s repair that skin barrier! 💦 🧊

We are finishing our Mud from Around the World treatment this week. We experienced
the multiple benefits of Volcanic mud, Mediterranean mud, and Moor mud sourced from around the world. We resume going to a specific country next week. Which will it be? 🩵

This week I was able to give a facial treatment to an R4 family member who just received a breast cancer diagnosis. We discussed her path moving forward including her double mastectomy that is approaching and what follows. I will be able to work with her every step of the way. Sometimes it will mean skipping her monthly appointments, sometimes it will be adapting a treatment or modality to her skin or body’s needs, sometimes it will mean working around drains and/or ports, and sometimes it will call for a complete customization of her treatments. As I worked on her, I was reminded of how I got into Oncology Skin Care. Back in 2012, when I had first gotten my skin care license, one of my first clients was a 72 year old woman who had recently had a double mastectomy. She was completely healed and was cancer-free. But she shared with me how she was self-conscious on my table as she had received a facial treatment at another facility and the young esthetician who worked on her was clearly uncomfortable touching this woman. She said she felt that the young girl was almost disgusted. That made me sad. It is something I never forgot. Fast forward to 2020 when my business was shut down due to Covid. I used that time to receive my oncology training. I am so thankful and grateful that I did. I absolutely love the caregiving journey I am on. I am here for you. All of you. Whenever you need me. Thank you for trusting me! 🥰
