When I’m creating an all-over lighter balayage, there’s a lot more involved than just lightening the hair. Every section is intentional. How much the hair is teased directly affects how soft the grow-out will be. The percentage of hair left out versus lightened is what creates the right dimension. Depth is strategically left in certain areas so the color looks rich, natural, and lived-in rather than over-processed.

The angle of the tease and the way each foil is painted controls where the brightness starts and how seamlessly everything blends together.

• Larger molecules don’t pe*****te as deeply into the cortex
• They sit closer to the cuticle
• Every wash, heat tool, or UV exposure pulls them out faster

Ways you can make your red color last longer
• after her first color i always finish with a gloss which helps seal the cuticle, and lock the red color pigments in
