Nurse-led healthcare advocacy + practical digital resources for patients nurse entrepreneurs & healthcare professionals navigating prior authorizations, medical necessity denials, appeals, and complex healthcare workflows.
Sometimes the barrier to care isn’t the treatment plan.
The provider knows what the patient needs.
The patient is ready to move forward.
Then comes the administrative part.
Prior authorization requirements. Clinical criteria. Records requests. Follow-ups. Peer-to-peers. Appeals.
None of those things change the reason the care was recommended.
But they can change how long it takes to get there.
That’s why administrative support in healthcare matters.
Helping providers navigate those barriers isn’t separate from supporting patients.
It’s another way of advocating for access to care. 💙
Sometimes faster isn’t better when it comes to an insurance determination.
When a prior authorization or appeal is pending, the instinct is understandable:
Can you just make a decision already?
But there’s another question worth asking:
Does the reviewer have everything needed to make the right decision?
Medical records may still need to be received. Clinical information may need clarification. Supporting documentation may need to be added to the case.
Pushing for a determination before important information is available doesn’t necessarily help the patient. In some situations, it may simply mean a decision is made based on the information currently in the file.
There’s a difference between an unnecessary delay and allowing time for a full and fair review.
When medically appropriate, the goal isn’t just a fast answer.
It’s a well-supported decision based on the right information. 💙

A medication list tells you what you take today. A medication history tells the bigger story.
What did you try before?
Did it work?
Why was it stopped?
Were there side effects?
Those details can matter during appointments and become especially important when insurance requires proof of previous treatments.
Six months later, “I took something for that, but I can’t remember what it was” isn’t particularly helpful. 😑
That’s where staying organized before you need the information can make a difference.
The Right to Care Solutions Medical Organizer gives patients and caregivers one place to keep important healthcare information together, so you’re not relying on memory when the details matter.

A lot of healthcare advocacy is knowing what question to ask next.
Sometimes the first answer is clear.
Sometimes it creates three more questions.
And sometimes one small detail in a policy, denial letter, or medical record changes the direction of the entire case.
That’s why reviewing a case isn’t just about collecting paperwork.
It’s about figuring out what matters, what’s missing, and what needs to happen next.
That part of the work doesn’t always make it into the conversation about healthcare advocacy.
But it’s often where the real work begins. 💙
Right to Care Solutions
Fighting for rightful access to treatment.
Sunday question:
What’s one thing you wish you had started keeping track of sooner when it comes to your health?
Appointments?
Medication changes?
Symptoms?
Test results?
Questions for your doctor?
Sometimes the information that seems small in the moment becomes surprisingly important later.
What would you add to the list?
Weekend healthcare rule:
If it can reasonably wait until Monday, it has officially become Monday’s problem.
The portal message will still be there.
The paperwork will still be there.
The to-do list will absolutely still be there.
Unfortunately, they are all very dependable. 😑😂
Enjoy your Saturday. 💙
Patient advocacy and provider advocacy aren’t competing priorities.
Patients want access to the care their healthcare team recommends.
Providers want to deliver that care without unnecessary barriers getting in the way.
Both can spend hours navigating requirements, gathering documentation, making calls, following up, and trying to move care forward.
Different roles. Same goal.
Getting patients access to medically necessary care when they need it. 💙
That’s the kind of advocacy Right to Care Solutions believes in.
Supporting patients. Supporting providers. Supporting access to care.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes when I create a Right to Care Solutions tool.
When you see one of my Google Sheets dashboards, you're not looking at a spreadsheet I found and added healthcare terminology to.
I start with the actual workflow.
What information needs to be tracked? What connects to what? What tends to get missed? What needs follow-up? What should immediately stand out when someone opens the dashboard?
Then I build around those questions.
Depending on the system, that may mean connected records, automated IDs, attention flags, deadline tracking, action centers, dashboards, status-based workflows, and other built-in automation.
And yes, I test the workflows too. Sometimes over and over. 😅
My nursing background in utilization management, prior authorizations, appeals, and patient advocacy plays a big role in how I think through each resource.
The goal isn't to automate healthcare. It's to make the information surrounding healthcare easier to organize, track, and act on.
That's what I'm building at Right to Care Solutions: practical tools designed around real healthcare challenges.
Built by a nurse. Built with the workflow in mind.
See what “more than a spreadsheet” looks like in practice:

After a full day of insurance calls, I can confirm:
The question was asked.
An answer was given.
Whether the answer was to the question that was asked remains under review. 😑🥴
Healthcare is one of the few places where everyone involved can be doing their job…
The patient followed the instructions.
The provider sent the documentation.
The office submitted the request.
And somehow everyone is still waiting. 😑
Healthcare really knows how to bring people together. 🫶🏼
