Last weekend I traveled to Tampa, Florida to do an advanced training in hyperrealism nano strokes.
I choose to be trained by with the one and only CAITLYN • Natural Nano Brow Educator • Tampa, FL. I’ve watched Caitlyn grow over the last several years. Her artistry is beautiful and unique but her energy, passion, and personality, is what made me what to be trained by her.
I also got the meet this wonderful ladies as well!
We had a great time.
Mae is now the my Tennessee pmu bestie.
2 days of intense training to prepare us for model day.
I was locked in with my glasses and hair tied back.
Here is my models before. She had previous microblading that was faded.
She wanted a defined look but still natural.
With the help of Caitlyn and her assistant Elleanna we completed these beauties.
I was stunned on how hard and slow building this technique is. But the results are so worth it.

Nano combo brows are nano strokes in the fronts, then shading from the tails through the middle of the brows.

Here’s the full process: fresh brows immediately after your first appointment → fully healed at 6 weeks → immediately after your 6-week touch-up.
This is why I always tell my clients to trust the process. Brows can look bold at first, fade during healing, and then come back beautifully once everything has settled.

Permanent makeup makes your morning routine easier, but it doesn’t mean your brows are completely maintenance-free. 🤍
One of the biggest things I remind my PMU clients is to continue cleaning up the natural brow hairs that grow outside of their permanent makeup shape.
Your nano brows, combo brows, or microblading create the foundation, while your natural brow hairs continue to grow as normal. Keeping those extra hairs tweezed, waxed, or trimmed helps maintain a clean, polished shape between appointments.
And then there’s annual touch ups or annual color boost appointments.
PMU is designed to gradually soften and fade over time. Depending on your skin, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare routine, and how your brows heal, you may benefit from an annual color boost/touch-up to refresh the pigment and keep your brows looking beautiful.
Think of your PMU as your brow foundation. It makes your routine easier, but a little maintenance keeps everything looking fresh. 🤎
