If I had a dollar for every piece of content on my phone that has never been edited, sorted or queued up to post, I’d actually be able to pay off my student loans 😳

I know I’m not alone in this, but sometimes I get so hard on myself for not posting after I’ve worked all day to make a bridal party feel gorgeous.

Sometimes I’m so tired after a wedding and tell myself I’ll do it after my nap… but then never get around to it.

Sometimes I see everyone else posting super crisp, perfectly lit photos and I fall into the comparison trap.

Sometimes I go to edit the photos or videos and just hate what I’ve captured.

And sometimes, I know this one is super taboo as a business owner, I just get a little lazy.

I think what it really comes down to is being disciplined enough to edit and schedule the content as soon as I get home from a job - at least that’s my intention moving forward.

Seeing as the Jewish new year has just passed, I’m setting a New Year’s resolution for 5787: post the content without it being “perfect”.

So if you’re a past client of mine wondering why you never saw your photos or video posted, please know it’s not that I don’t love you or think your stunning self isn’t good enough for my feed, I just get in my own way sometimes.

To the artists who have overcome this same posting paralysis, what’s something you do to stay on top of your consisting posting schedules? I’m open to all the tips 🤍

I love the last few weeks of summer right before fall. While I’m not fully ready for deep burgundy and rich brown lip combos • q u i t e • yet, this subtle cherry cola lip liner from m.ph by Mary Phillips is perfection 🤩

Paired with a matte eye & a custom blush combo to match the lip, I think this one might be one of my favorite bridal party looks this month.

One whole year of Mr. & Mrs. Young 🤍 Looking back 1 year after my best friend’s wedding, and I’m still so obsessed with how stunning she was 🥹

To ensure Chloe felt like the best, most romantic version of herself, we knew that the bridal makeup was only going to do half the work.

✨ We made skin a top priority. As soon as she got engaged I encouraged monthly facials, dermaplaning, and working with a dermatologist & esthetician to create a custom routine. The *secret* to that Sofia Richie Grange look is always going to be prioritizing healthy skin.

✨ We discussed her daily makeup routine, what she liked vs. what she didn’t from having her makeup done previously, and most importantly, how she wanted to feel.

✨ She brought inspiration photos of looks she liked as well as photos of herself where she loved the makeup. We worked together to personalize what she liked about each of the photos.

✨ Choose products based on the clients desired finish. Know your products & how to layer them so they blend seamlessly and without adding too much additional texture.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE all the content. I stay fed and inspired by the other artists in my area - in their artistry and in how they show up on socials and I LIVE for all of it.

While I don’t see myself posting every single day like my peers, at least anytime soon, I can show up every day. I can continue to share photos and videos of my work (yes, even if they’ve been sitting in my favorites folder for months 😅), and share a little more of myself on stories… I promise I’m fun!
