Hello Everyone, WE ARE BACK starting tomorrow!

Once again, we are working at the Zodiac health & Racquet club in Southgate on the 2nd Floor. You can use the stairs to your left as soon as you enter the building or the elevator. We are located just past the main desk on the 2nd floor. We have waiting chairs inside the shop.

Our hours of operations are as follows:

Tuesdays - Fridays 9-5:30
Saturdays will be 9-2:30

Prices- $25.00 haircut
30.00 shaves
10.00 lineup or beard trim

We Have Some Good News to Share.

As many of you know, about a month ago a vehicle struck Sal’s Barber Shop at a high rate of speed, leaving the building unsafe to enter. Since that day, we’ve been working hard to find a solution that allows us to get back to doing what we love—while keeping things as convenient as possible for our customers.

We’re happy to announce that we’ve secured a temporary location that keeps us centrally located Downriver. For the time being, we will be operating out of the Zodiac Building at:
14795 Dix-Toledo Road Southgate, MI 48195

The building is located near the corner of Dix and Eureka, directly across from the Southgate Fire/Police Department and next to Fudgy’s Ice Cream. We will be on the second floor. Stairs and an elevator are available, so everyone can comfortably make their way up for a trim.
As an added bonus, if there happens to be a short wait, you can stop into Foggia’s Brothers for a beverage or even enjoy a slice of pizza.

We are truly excited to get back to work and see all of you again. While there is still a journey ahead, we are incredibly grateful for your patience, support, encouragement and gracious donations . They have helped us tremendously!

Please note that we are guests in another establishment’s space, and we appreciate everyone’s help in respecting that.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Hand Family at Super Shears for stepping up and helping us get back to work.

Good morning everyone,
We just wanted to give you a quick update on what’s going on with the shop.
We’re still working with the insurance company on the situation at 3605 Fort Street and are waiting to get a clearer picture of what the next steps look like. As soon as we know more, we’ll share it with all of you.

Right now, we’re also trying to find a temporary spot so we can get back to doing what we do and take care of all of our loyal customers who have supported us for so many years.

We honestly can’t put into words how much the support has meant to us. The calls, texts, food dropped off, donations, and just the kindness from everyone has been overwhelming in the best way possible.

We’re hoping to have more answers for you in the next few days.
Thank you all for your patience and for sticking with us. It means everything.

Larry and I want to personally thank everyone in our community who has reached out to us since the accident at the barbershop. What happened was shocking, and the days since have been overwhelming—but in ways we never expected.
The kind words, messages, visits, generous donations, and even the food that’s been dropped off have truly meant the world to us. We’ve been humbled beyond words by the love and support shown to our family and our shop.
After 25 years of being part of this community, this experience has reminded us just how special it really is. Your generosity, patience, and encouragement have helped carry us through a chaotic moment, and we are deeply grateful to each and every one of you.

Notice: An accident occurred at the barbershop today under unfortunate circumstances. Fortunately, Larry and I were elsewhere and are safe. The individuals involved have been taken for medical evaluation. We will provide updates as more information becomes available. The barbershop will remain closed until further notice. We are touched by the outpouring of support from our customers and the community, and Larry and I thank you.

Our holiday operating schedule is: open today, Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., and tomorrow, Christmas Eve, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We will be closed for the rest of the weekend and resume regular hours on December 30th. On December 31st, we will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and closed on January 1st, returning to normal business hours on January 2nd. Have a safe and Happy Holiday Season!
