🎉 Happy 79th Birthday to Stephen King!

The prolific horror writer seen here as Jordy Verill in Creepshow, his comedic portrayal paid homage to the horror and sci-fi comics of the 1950’s. He also wrote the film in its entirety, including our personal favorite segment ‘The Crate’, which features a professor abused by his wife, whom he feeds to a yeti found in a crate in the basement of the university where he works. He gets his just desserts, like many King characters, which often are featured in stories of redemption and the supernatural.

The author has given us haunted hotels, killer dogs and cars, a vengeful telekinetic teen, wrongfully incarcerated men in search of salvation, an inter dimensional alien clown, obsessed fans, and many other twisted beings. Happy Birthday to a true King of the craft. We’re thankful for your endless contributions to the genre.
