Soft brightness, seamless dimension, and my signature Strandlights placement that mimics the way the sun naturally lightens the hair ☀️
Her lift was SO pretty we skipped toner completely 🙌🏼
This is the kind of blonde I love creating 😍 bright, soft, natural, and effortlessly blended with lived-in grow out. 🤍
Intentionally blending those grays away with precision lightening 🙌🏼
I used my signature Strandlights placement and customized the density of each weave within the foil packets to create the most seamless gray blend possible. We were aiming for soft dimension, natural brightness, and a low-maintenance grow out. 🤍
This technique is perfect for guests wanting gray blending without harsh lines of demarcation or high-maintenance root coverage appointments.
Every highlight was intentionally placed to mimic natural movement and create a lived-in luxury finish. I hope you guys enjoyed this transformation! 🙌🏼
Heat stress & split ends are two of the main reasons hair won’t retain length. 🤍
For Meagan, we removed the stressed ends, softened the perimeter with point cutting, and dusted the hair to target the splits before they have a chance to continue traveling up the hair strand. 🙌🏼
Healthy hair growth is really healthy length retention.
I love collaborating with my clients and creating a plan that truly supports their hair goals. 🤍
Her goal: longer face-framing layers, thicker and healthier hair.
But first, we have to address the heat stress causing breakage. Repeated hot tool damage can create tiny hollow weak spots within the strands that look like little white dots on the hair, making it fragile under tension and prone to splitting and breakage.
So today, we’re removing the compromised ends and rebuilding a healthier foundation first.
Next step:
a corrective cut plan, consistent 8-12 week appointments, and healthier, fuller hair over time. 🙌🏼
The haircut that scares most stylists can become one of the best ways to build a loyal clientele.
Clients are actively searching for artists who can confidently create a beautiful graduated bob, and many can’t find one.
That means opportunity.
When you stop fearing the technique and start trusting the fundamentals, everything changes:
• Sectioning
• Elevation
• Guides
• Weight distribution
• Balance around the ears
• Soft internal texture
Mastering the WHY behind the haircut is what builds confidence behind the chair.
If you’ve been doubting yourself, this is your reminder: every successful hairstylist started somewhere, and every artist still has room to grow. Even seasoned stylists feel uncomfortable when learning something new because growth lives there.
You’ve got this 🤍
The consultation is everything 🤍
Here’s the breakdown on this gray blending + graduated bob transformation and the “why” behind every decision. The haircut and blonding tutorials are already on the roster, but I always want you to see the thought process, not just the result.
This look was built around her lifestyle first. She’s super low maintenance and wanted a bob that grows out soft, stays easy, and still gives her versatility as it evolves.
When I’m consulting, I’m looking for the real answers: what worked last time, what didn’t, and what they actually want day-to-day with their hair.
For example, she wanted a fringe for summer, but we both knew the reality of maintaining it in the Texas heat. So we went with a longer fringe and shorter face-framing instead, softness now and the option to shift into a fuller fringe in the fall.
This one was extra special because it was my mom on Mother’s Day, which made the whole process extra fun to film 🥰
I’ll be sharing the haircut and gray blending tutorials next!
I hope y’all enjoy this quick and easy way to get those soft, effortless waves for summer 🤍
Loose, lived-in texture, perfect for that everyday, undone look.
Sabotaged my mom with this 🤣… and she absolutely nailed it! Haha 🥰
Concave layers will forever be my fave 😍
Maintaining the corners in all the right places is what creates that signature concave shape. To me, it gives the most effortless movement and one of the lowest maintenance haircuts, whether your hair is short, medium, or long.
I love using point cutting to create that lived-in, diffused end result.
I hope you enjoyed this video! Thanks for being here 🤍
POV: opening PR packages is basically my love language 🥹♥️
Big thank you to Aveda, SalonCentric, and Schwarzkopf Professional for all the goodies 💌
Love my clients so much, lol if y’all saw the amount of bloopers this one had 😂
I think I said it about 15 times, but Jenny is a natural redhead and we wanted to accent her natural red hues with strandlights. I customized this placement by using slices, babylights, traditional highlights, and Strandlight density weaves to create the perfect blend of brightness and dimension.
We did a custom Gradient Balayage for her three months ago and it has aged like fine wine.
I hope you guys enjoyed this video, thanks for watching 🤍
