Concrete jungle, but make it green. šŸŒæšŸ—½

One thing I love about New York is how, even surrounded by skyscrapers, you can still find the most beautiful trees, plants, and little pockets of nature.

It’s a reminder that beauty is everywhere. Sometimes, we just have to slow down long enough to notice it.

And maybe that’s what sustainability is about, too. Being more mindful of what surrounds us, what we choose, and how we care for this beautiful planet. 🌱

Slow down. Look around. There’s beauty everywhere.

Authenticity vs. Curated. Where have the humans gone?

Lately, I’ve been noticing something.

More and more, I’m seeing Reels that feel beautifully curated. Stylists aligning their content with the salon brand, the aesthetic, the look, the message…

And I understand it. There’s value in creating something beautiful and intentional.

But I keep wondering…

Where do the humans behind the brand get to show up?

Because a salon is more than its walls, its logo, its feed, or the perfectly curated image.

It’s the people who create the experience.
The stylist behind the chair.
The conversations.
The laughter.
The personalities.
The little moments that could never be perfectly planned.

And now, with AI influencing so much of what we create and consume, I find myself asking even more:

What actually attracts us?

Is it the perfectly curated version of a salon?

Or is it seeing something that makes us think, ā€œI feel like I could belong there.ā€

I don’t have the answer.

And I’m not here to say one is better than the other.

I’m simply curious.

When you’re choosing a stylist or a salon, what makes you stop scrolling and connect?

The aesthetic?
The artistry?
The personality?
The people?
The feeling?

Maybe there’s room for both.

But I hope we never lose the human in the process of making everything look perfect. šŸ¤

✨ LOOK WHO FOUND THE FLOAT! ✨

Sometimes the best surprises are hiding right where you least expect them. 🌿🄄

This morning, my clients Dominique & Antoinette became the lucky finders of the West Seattle Float sponsored by Jaimei Mark Artistry — and I couldn’t have been happier to see these two smiling faces discover it right here in the studio!

What started as a little community adventure turned into such a fun moment of connection, laughter, and celebration. šŸ’š

Dominique & Antoinette , thank you for your continued support of me and Jaimei Mark Artistry. Having you in my chair, cheering me on, and continuing to be part of this journey means more than you know.

And to everyone who participated in the West Seattle Float, followed along, searched, shared, and played along — THANK YOU! šŸ™ŒšŸ½

I love seeing the way little moments like this bring our West Seattle community together.

Because at Jaimei Mark Artistry, it’s never just about the hair.

It’s about the people, the connections, the memories, and the beautiful little moments we get to share along the way.

Congratulations, Dominique & Antoinette! 🄄✨
The float has officially found its lucky humans!
