I was born in Phoenix to two immigrant parents who came to this country with nothing… and somehow made something.
They didn’t have much.
But growing up, you would’ve never known.
They gave us everything.
Love. Stability. Memories.
Even those Disney trips and now that I’m older, I realize how much sacrifice that must have taken.
They showed me what hard work looks like.
What resilience looks like.
What doing anything for your kids looks like.

But behind the chair, I’m carrying legacy.
I’m building something from the foundation they laid for me.
There have been seasons where I felt overwhelmed.
Where I doubted myself.
Where I questioned if I was doing enough.
But I keep showing up.
For my daughter.
For my clients.
For the little girl in me who watched her parents hustle quietly and never give up.
This isn’t just hair.
This is growth.
This is healing.
This is legacy continuing.

I’m Megan.

I grew up in West Seattle
back when Chubby & Tubby was still a thing.
This island built me.
In blackberry bushes and tree houses.
Rides down to Alki.
Milkshakes at Luna Park.

I’ve been behind the chair for 25 years.
And I’ll tell you something —
it was never really about the hair.
It’s the moment I turn you around
and you see yourself.
Really see yourself.
That shift.
That recognition.
That’s the magic.
That’s why I’m still here.

I come from women
who told stories on porches
and played gospel loud enough
for the neighbors to hear it.
Family legend says my grandpa
once taught Loretta Lynn
how to play guitar.
I can’t confirm it.
But I choose to believe it
completely.

Country music raised me.
Front porch.

It’s not decoration.

I’m a q***r woman.
Liberal and proud.
A mom wildly in love
with being a mom.
And for the last five years —
a military wife
stealing weekends from Georgia to Seattle
and calling that enough.
